Editing item properties
To edit the properties of an item:
- Select Edit Action > Edit Item Properties.
From this screen you can edit the following properties:

Skill Builders – Improve conceptual understanding or develop a key skill. Self-Tutoring Problems – Help students bridge the gap from following worked examples to tackling end-of-chapter problems. End of Chapter – Single or multi-part items with content from the end of a textbook chapter. Optionally, may contain declarative hints and/or feedback. Test Bank – Single or multi-part items from the textbook test bank. Test banks do NOT contain hints (declarative or Socratic) or extensive feedback. End of Section – Single or multi-part items with content from the end of a textbook section. Optionally, may contain declarative hints and/or feedback. Tutorial – Multi-part items which contain both Socratic hints and wrong answer feedback. Activity – Single or multi-part items that include animations (embedded or linked to) or interactive exercises. May also contain hints (Socratic or declarative) and/or feedback. Coaching Activities - Single or multi-part items with hints (declarative or Socratic) and/or feedback. Coaching Activity items with Socratic hints and feedback can have only one part, which distinguishes them from Tutorials. Misconception Questions - Single or multi-part items that reveal common student misconceptions. May also contain hints (declarative or Socratic) and/or feedback. Reading Questions - Single or multi-part items that assess comprehension of textbook content. May also contain declarative hints and/or feedback. Lab - - Single or multi-part items that contain lab activities and assessments. May also contain hints (declarative or Socratic) and/or feedback. USER – The default before an item is published; no one else can see these items. |

If yes, the student is automatically given a score of 100% as long as they complete the item. The items in the Introduction section may be graded in this way. If no, the item is graded according to the grading policies instructors set for the course. |

The Part, chapter, or section to which the question is assigned. This is textbook specific. |
